Hi Capt Dave,

I purchased and reviewed your (Jacobson Flare) app in August 2015.

It is outstanding and has become another tool I use for landing. Thank you so much for taking the time to do such an important project. Your personal email was very much appreciated and really allowed me to connect with your material. We students/new pilots really look up to such educational information and it really is a treat to be able to simply talk with the authority; you really made me feel like a colleague in aviation.

“A week or so ago (14 June 2015) at a Cirrus Melbourne seminar,  I had the pleasure of hearing David Jacobson talk about his “universal” landing technique, being the ‘Jacobson Flare’, which he has developed over some 50 years of flying all manner of aircraft from Tiger Moth biplanes to DC-9, B727 and B737s.

With over 24,000 hours of experience, he has now produced an iPad APP, which explains in detail his approach to landings which he says works time after time, from the smallest sports aircraft to the wide-bodied jets – A380, B777 and B747 plus, importantly, our Cirrus SR20 & SR22 series aircraft.

Having purchased the APP, completed my tape measured eye height and undercarriage displacement distance, the APP did its ‘calculations’ and produced a flare commencement distance appropriate to my Cirrus SR22 and myself.

Wow, I tried it yesterday on my return from Bendigo to Moorabbin and gently ‘kissed’ the runway…….I now look forward to many, many kisses in the future!!
